CBG Capsules From Simple Leaf
CBG, known as “The Mother of all Cannabinoids”, is the precursor to all other cannabinoids. This non-psychoactive molecule transforms into the more common cannabinoids as the hemp plant matures. While researchers are only beginning to uncover CBG’s benefits, the potential benefits of CBG are extensive. We see enormous potential in CBG and are working hard to create a solid product line to provide our loyal customers with the absolute best formulations.
What is Cannabidiol, or CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that is associated with a wide range of health and wellness benefits. CBD interacts with the body’s Endocannabinoid System, which is responsible for regulating a variety of functions. Whatever your reason is behind buying hemp CBD capsules, know that with Simple Leaf you are getting one of the best CBD formulas on the market. We take pride in our work and are constantly improving our formula so that you will get a pure CBD product that is affordable and more importantly, works.*
What is Cannabigerol, or CBG?
CBG is the scientific abbreviation for Cannabigerol, one of over 120 naturally-occurring cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. CBG is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, meaning it won’t create a “high” like THC does. Cannabigerol (CBG) is the precursor to all cannabinoids. Known as “The Mother of Cannabinoids”, this non-psychoactive molecule transforms into the more common cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, THC) as the hemp plant matures. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with the human body through the endocannabinoid receptors located throughout the body. Cannabigerol (CBG) is a rare, minor cannabinoid found naturally in the hemp plant. CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid because most cannabis plants contain only small amounts of CBG. Some hemp plants are bred to produce higher levels of CBG early in the plant’s life cycle, limiting the production of other cannabinoids, which creates hemp that can be used to make CBG products. CBG works like other hemp products by binding to CB1 and CB2 receptors to produce varying effects on the body. If you’ve tried CBD oils and felt little to no effect, CBG oil could be the solution that fits best with your body chemistry. Because each person’s genetic makeup varies, different hemp extracts produce different results. Furthermore, it’s possible to build tolerance to other hemp products after extended use. If you’re looking for a change of pace that may work better for your body, consider trying our line of high-quality organic CBG capsules.
CBD vs. CBG
CBD and CBG have similar effects on the body, but they achieve those effects differently. Although CBD is the more abundant of the two cannabinoids, research suggests that the effects of CBG are stronger.1 That observation is likely explained by the way the two cannabinoids interact with the receptors of the largest regulatory system in your body, the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Those receptors are CB1 and CB2.
CBD has a low affinity with CB1 and CB2, meaning it interacts with these receptors indirectly without binding. CBG binds with the ECS receptors and interacts directly, so the therapeutic potential is more potent. CBG also enhances the therapeutic potential of CBD through a phenomenon known as the entourage effect, a theory that explains how the many phytocannabinoids, plant terpenes, and other components in cannabis plants interact to magnify and multiply the effects of the others.
Both CBG and CBD (cannabidiol) are cannabinoids that naturally occur in hemp plants. They are different compounds within the plant and have different effects on the body’s endocannabinoid system. Both CBG and CBD are non-intoxicating, meaning they won’t create any “high” effects in the user. One difference between the two is that they work with the body’s endocannabinoid system in different ways. CBD doesn’t directly bind with the ECS receptors as CBG does. CBG binding to these receptors elicits different responses than CBD. Sometimes full-spectrum CBD oil will contain traces of CBG. Hemp products that contain CBD, CBG, and other cannabinoids are known to create more effective results due to the entourage effect.
